En ese momento se establecieron tres (3) ETAPAS, cada una con varias fases, para el mantenimiento y rehabilitaci\u00f3n del puente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">La primera de esas Etapas fue adjudicada por el MOP al consorcio Asociaci\u00f3n Puente de Las Am\u00e9ricas por 12 millones de Balboas, e incluy\u00f3 la ejecuci\u00f3n de tres (3) fases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">*En la fase 1 que inici\u00f3 en abril de 2008,* se trabaj\u00f3 en la inspecci\u00f3n de todo el sistema estructural recabando informaci\u00f3n de campo sobre las uniones de las p\u00e9ndolas al arco de la superestructura, los apoyos del puente, las uniones estructurales y el perfil de la rodadura del puente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Durante la fase 2 se realiz\u00f3 un modelaje de todo el sistema estructural del puente; se dise\u00f1\u00f3 el nuevo sistema de las p\u00e9ndolas y se fabricaron los cables correspondientes. En esta fase se actualiz\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n el modelo s\u00edsmico usado para la construcci\u00f3n del puente entre 1958 y 1962, modelo que databa de los a\u00f1os &#8217;40, actualizado a los modelos matem\u00e1ticos usados para calcular el modelo s\u00edsmico&nbsp; del Puente Centenario del a\u00f1o 2002.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">La fase 3 correspondi\u00f3 a la obra en sitio con la protecci\u00f3n del rompeolas de las pilas principales, la reparaci\u00f3n de los apoyos, columnas y pilas, reposici\u00f3n de algunos remaches y con el cambio de 168 cables en las 42 p\u00e9ndolas de la estructura del puente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">*Los trabajos correspondientes a estas primeras tres fases del mantenimiento finalizaron en mayo de 2009.*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Las Etapas 2 y 3,&nbsp; debieron haber iniciado en enero del 2010 y deb\u00edan terminar en el a\u00f1o 2012 con la sustituci\u00f3n de losas del tablero de la rodadura existentes y su reemplazo con losas de concreto prefabricadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">El Puente de las Am\u00e9ricas debe mantener un nivel elevado de mantenimiento que permita garantizar la seguridad del tr\u00e1fico ininterrumpido y seguro de los veh\u00edculos a motor con sus ocupantes y tambi\u00e9n de los barcos por la v\u00eda Interoce\u00e1nica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Benjam\u00edn Colamarco Pati\u00f1o<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Panam\u00e1, septiembre de 2024<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>En abril de 2006 se present\u00f3 el informe que contempl\u00f3 un diagn\u00f3stico de la situaci\u00f3n del Puente de Las Am\u00e9ricas, realizado de manera conjunta MOP &#8211; ACP, a trav\u00e9s de la firma Amman &amp; Whitney\/Louis Berger Group.
